Lazy Day harvesting grapes
Thursday 12th and 19th of September, 2013
Equipment: Hat / scarf, sunblock, proper shoes (we will be in a field).
We will begin early at the morning (9.30 am), because of the heat. A bus ride takes us just to the bottom edge of the vineyard (located in the upper hills of Kalives and Kera). In the vineyard there are some refreshments, water and a small salty snack (olives, cheese and tomatoes). The grape picking will take about an hour – hour and half, and after that we will take the bus up to Vamos, where the wine treading and a drink buffet await us. We will tread the grapes and observe how petimézi is made. Lunch at 1.30 pm, rooster cooked in wine with pasta, souvlaki, bifteki, tsatsiki, and for drinks wine and water.
In the farm we have some spots for visiting, for example a mound of herbs, domestic animals, table for making of herbal lotions, small shop, cooking area etc.
We finish at 3.00 pm
